The international access code when calling from the US is 011. The country code for Australia is 61. Landline numbers in South Australia use area code 8, while cell phone numbers throughout Australia are in area code 4. Putting all this together you would dial 011 61 4 xxxxxxxx

So what are your views on the Pledge of Allegiance?
So I am Agnostic. I have found that a lot of people get offended that I will stand for the Pledge but do not say it. It’s not that I intend to be ignorant and selfish over what soldiers have fought for, it’s just that they fought for our rights no? And not all of them fought for our country, I’m sure plenty of men chose it as a career. Thousands of people die on their way to work every day too so I just never found myself being rude. I salute the soldiers for being brave. But I do not support THIS COUNTRY. I find no glory in Americas ways. I do not agree that killing people UNDER GOD is correct. I simply find it all to be backwards and I guess I’m more venting then anything. Forgive me if you find me ignorant, I will respect all opinions from anyone who wishes to contribute to the topic. I’m only 15 so do not let me offend you with my words.

				It should be abolished.

And that’s not even taking into account the "under god" portion.

Who came up with the idea of six year olds having to pledge their alleigance to anything? They don’t even know what they’re saying.

Sounds like Fascism to me.
The Blunt Ugly Truth | Feb 04, 2010

To each his or her own. Is there any particular country which you really do support? If so, have you tried to move there, or applied for citizenship to same and attempted to renounce the citizenship of the country which you don’t believe in? Or do you plan to do so when you are older? Or do you plan on staying in a country you don’t believe in, and talking about it? Just curious?
Gabriel | Feb 04, 2010

I have never seen any situation like that. I believe in God but I do not say "to the flag" for personal reasons, not religious ones. Well they are personally religious. If someone does not like that Scr#$ them. Also I am man enough to take a moron getting upset at me. If they want to hit me, I get a choice between suing them or beating them up. Not a bad set of options. You real worried about what morons think? What are you doing *here*? lol
Commander McBragg | Feb 04, 2010

since we don’t agree on the pledge i won’t bore you with my feelings about. i will comment on your not liking living here

you don’t have to agree with everything the government does or doesn’t do. but you should appreciate the freedoms you have that you appear to take for granted

in other countries people with views contrary to the government can and have been persecuted by their government. in other countries you can be in serious trouble speaking out against the majority religion

maybe you would like to live in some of the middle east countries where women are still considered second class citizens

maybe you would like china where censorship by the government is still common place

maybe you would like the philippines where the government is trying to stop protests against it

maybe kenya would be more to your liking where historically there seem to outbreaks of violence every five years or so

maybe india with it’s caste system and untouchables would be more to your liking

if you don’t like living in the usa then i encourage you, when you are old enough, to leave. please go and live in whatever country you can find that does not offend your beliefs. i wish you luck in finding one the will grant you the freedoms you have here

It is your right not to recite the Pledge. That is what makes this country great. You are able to make that choice without consequences (other than some sideways looks from some offended people). In some countries in this world people do not have the luxury of that choice. In those countries showing disrespect to their country’s leaders, anthems and pledges could get them jailed or even killed.

You have the right to not recite the Pledge because of soldiers who fought, killed and died in our country’s wars for the last 230 years. When we won our independence from England in the American Revolution, our forefathers started a new form of government. They were geniuses and the proof of that is obvious. The United States of America is a very young country compared to most around the world. Despite our youth, we have risen to be the number one superpower on Earth. That is a testament to the genius and foresight of the Founding Fathers. The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are probably the greatest documents ever written in this world’s history. It enabled a young country, financially broke and in debt due to The Revolution, to soar to the top in a short period of time.

Our success has enabled us to help other countries all around the world. We are one of the most charitable countries in the world. We send money and aid to numerous struggling countries and when catastrophe strikes somewhere in the world (Haiti most recently), we are always willing to help.

The U.S. was the deciding factor in the victory over the Nazis in WWII. England (our former enemy) would have fallen to Hitler and The Third Reich would have been successful if not for our joining the fight. The world would be a much different place right now if Germany won that war. Millions of soldiers and citizens died during that horrible time in world history but our fight was just. Millions more would have died if the war continued without our help.

This is why I recite the Pledge and stand with hand on heart for the National Anthem. Not because I always agree with our government’s policies (because I do not) but because our Republic has proven time and time again that, despite some errors made by idiotic power-hungry politicians, this nation and its citizens always rights the wrongs in the end. The power of the vote is a great privilege and should not be taken for granted. The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are always there to back up the citizens. Politicians come and go but the basic fundamentals of democracy will stay; regardless of the fact that some in Washington want to change it.

P.S. – The phrase "under God" in the Pledge was not originally there. It was added in 1954. Not sure why. FYI…I’m agnostic also.
Scott | Feb 04, 2010

Ignorant , no – Anti-American , yes. Since you’re only 15 I won’t insult you, but Questions like this disgust me. You are the problem in America.

why are my power lines jumping?
We just got bombed really bad with this snow storm and now our power lines outside are jumping, almost vibrating. my dad thought maybe a bird landed on it but its been doing it for 10 mins straight so i doubt that it was a bird.. is it the current going threw the wire or something?? Ive never noticed this before.. its only one of the wires. im pretty sure its an electrical wire and not a telephone wire. Why would the wire be jumping. Please help me find out because i cant find anything on the internet that tells me why this is happening and its not just me seeing it my parents and 2 friends see it too and i know we all arent that crazy lol. so please help!

thanks
-desi

It is possible that there is a fault downstream. That means that the line has shorted out due to a tree limb or something similar touching the wire. When that happens, high current flows through the wire all the way upstream back to the source. Sudden high changes in current cause a high magnetic field fluctuation which in turn causes the wire to jump around.

No cause for alarm, just stay away from the power lines and let the power system do its thing. Sometimes mild faults can burn for a while before a fuse or breaker operates.

do you think dictatorial internet censorship is approaching?
ive read some more news reports today about how australia , the uk and america are moving on a united front to blacklist any sites the government doesn’t deem acceptable or anything controversial or against government…………they are also apparently making moves to censor free speech , ban and block people from the internet that break any internet laws. – set up ” internet 2 ” – a restricted censored version of the internet – with ” anything ” the government dont want, blocked .

heres the report about this indetail on an alex jones show broadcast :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG–42sjA vA&feature=sub

” The Western world, from Australia to the United States, UK and parts of Europe, are moving in a unified front toward dictatorial Internet censorship. Australia has led the way, despite outcry from its populace, by "filtering" out certain banned content. In the United States, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, in continuing his family’s tradition of oppressing free humanity, has pushed forward Cybersecurity legislation that has already passed the House. He has done so in the name of warding off ghastly cyber "attackers" conceivably fronting for al Qaeda while ushering in a means to restrict free speech and expression online for the general population.

With Obama’s support, most of the developed world has accepted plans for government-approved online activity and Pentagon-monitored internet traffic. The U.S. and UK are facilitating the hijacking of what has, until now, been a highly-democratic Internet. Overall, it has been a technological God-send for bringing together communication and strongly expressing thought outside of the mainstream information available on television and in print.

Now, people are being forced onto the corporate-dominated Internet2– once again, in the name of "security." (Internet) Freedom sacrificed at the same false alter of (Internet) Security. Independent blogs, news sites and online businesses will all be financially disadvantaged by access fees not demanded of dominant entities. What is today outside the ‘norm’ but well within free speech will tomorrow be evaluated by politically-correct criteria that will be used to identify sites to block and users to deny access.

Already, referrals to sites like Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com are being denied not only in Australia, but in places like New Zealand– who have not adopted the same policies, but do share ISPs who have ordered a block. All across the world, wherever internet "filtering" and outright censorship has been phased in– via libraries, businesses, airports, and so forth, sites that are critical of government are consistently blocked first. This has been true not only of Alex Jones’ several websites, but also of sites like Wikileaks, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), Cryptome and etc, etc. The common theme is not operating outside of law or of speaking in extremities, but challenging the power establishment through distribution of information and/or shedding light on its otherwise little known unscrupulous activities.

This Orwellian scheme has already been branded by the outrages of Cass Sunstein, one of the Obama ‘Czars’, who has called for governments to ban "conspiratorial theories" and identified thought-crimes including a disbelief in man-made global warming and a belief in the basic goodness of "sunshine." In considering how to eradicate ‘outlawed’ beliefs, Sunstein posits the benefits of using bloggers to engage and counter ‘disinformation.’ A very similar version of this strategy has already been adopted by the Pentagon in its "infowars" campaign.

Alex uses his most-recent experience in an outright ban to sound a warning that the enemy is already among us. Internet censorship threatens to stifle out a recent phenomenon of free thought and widespread information that has flourished on the Internet / world wide web. Only by standing up to undue constraints on our rights and by saying no to efforts to chill speech on the web can we save a stronghold of free humanity. ”

anyone have opinion on this ?

get over it, the government does what it want because they own you and your too stupid to know it. once they do this, they can control it like the stock market and profit by pushing it’s reign of subliminal advertising towards "their" goal which will overall strengthen the u.s. dollar.
El Chumpacabra | Feb 09, 2010

I believe the FCC will get the authority from the US government, following a global agreement to regulate the internet. Will the majority of the planet support it? Yes. Why is this? Because the governments will turn to the global media to manufacture the consent of the people. If people saw a newscast of TV about the benefits of internet regulation including the extinction of child pornography, terrorist activity, sexual predators, etc etc.. They could come up with all sorts of undeniably good reasons to do this and offer no cons. If you were the average oblivious government trusting person, would you resist it? Of course not. Who knows, maybe even this question will be deleted from YA! archives.

Better yet YA! will most likely be shut down altogether. Why would they want people asking questions? 911? Afganistan? JFK? Corrupt government? True or False? Doesn’t matter.. deleted.
Scott Summers (Cyclops) is still grieving about her loss. One day, he came out to the place which is where Jean Gray sacrificed herself. Then, Jean Gray appeared right in front of him. Though, it seemed that after that, Scott had disappeared. Meanwhille, the rift between humans and mutants had finally reached the boiling point. When humans discovered what causes humans to mutate, they have found a cure for the mutation. The X-Men were appalled at this idea. It was not long at all until the news about the cure came to Magneto. He decides to organize an army of mutants and wage his war against the humans. Then, it became clear that Jean Gray evolved into the Pheonix, her new mutant powers are so strong that she can not control her own body. Then, she kills off Professor X with her new powers. Now, The X-Men must stop Magneto again and put an end to the war against the humans, as well as stop Jean Gray’s Pheonix powers.

Plot: In 16th century Venice, courtesans enjoy unique privileges: dressed richly in red, they read, compose poetry and music, and discuss affairs of state with the men who govern the Republic. When Veronica Franco comes of age, she cannot marry Marco Venier, whom she loves, because she is well born but penniless. Her choice: cloister or courtesan. She steels her heart, and with beauty and intelligence becomes the best. She’s a heroine when she helps convince France to aid Venice in war with Turkey, but when plague descends, the Church charges her with witchcraft. At her inquisition, she must match wits with an old rival, speak for all women, and call courage from Venier.

Okay check out this poem and tell me if you liked it I am 17 so Idk why I said that its called well you'll no.?
Title: Carnivores Conquer..

His, aboard the rebellion thief.
He flicks his keys..jingle, jingle…
On command from this great chief…
Ready the stock and dock away, pull the anker in.
Man the sails!
There’s bound to be hell for this seven Sea’s Pirate king..
A robber no less a con man no better..
Betrayed is his true gain corruptions savaging the riches poor..
His no Robin hood and so you better kill that depiction.

Raiding is a daily routine.
Band his rag tag crew with there darken tired eyes,
Trademark tattoo’s.
Rum the liquor and tie the rope tight.
This is a voyage along the vessel filled brimming with
cavalry, and arsenals.
Play the fool be the masters assassin.
For the captains on board, destination uncharted islands.
Rules? Take what you can see and what you want.
Row the oars, leave wrecking and chaos in your cannons barrel.
Because all is futile in resiting, its damn sabotage to be naive.

The voyage of a rebel, reckless among all others..
Is dangerous, its selfish to even care.
The ship is our hopes home.
Keep moving or you’ll drown..
Jumping the plank for regretting actions passed.
Caution what you choose in your self righteousness motives.
Bravery is for dead souls were the tyrants.
Our pets are wolves who eat left remains.
A test to preform is done with swords, and pistols..

Filthy clothes and tattered tore bodies.
Disgusting in our habits, greedy a desire shared.
Bared keep your weaponry because we all animals.
Locked away but its a beauty to have oneself to keep the company of the key..
Were all abandonment’s and escapees.
Ramming you and we’ve got a fuse of dynamite..
His coming and were jumping in glee…
This is the best part!..

His the devil but on quickfire..
He’ll run to your side the actor in a part..
Handing this best friends prized present to you..
While he’s off he’s getting really close like a sweetie..
With a goodbye lullaby..he’s whispers it slow..
"CA-BOO!!!"

Our lovers reminiscence kissing embraced.
Death becomes out mantra.
Were all cheaters, two timers…
Who can’t keep to themselves.
The world a oracle mystified under the knowledge that this place.
Is a circle round not a flat surface…

The water breaks in crushing descending salt filled waves.
Its a glorious day travailing, and exploring.
The caravels ported and we steal the town
with our ravaging pollutions of self decay..
We leave deserting the destroyed..
Maybe the pauper will come to save all…
We watch the skies transparent and we burn the ground..
Ember skies catching night with the moon as our sunlight.
Were all ghosts praying that lost is mapped within x.

Broken bottles and rummaging, dirt under our..
finger nails but who said being sanitized was clean?
When its faulty with flaws…and mutiny..
That’s not for us, transporting to the exotic distance is.
There’s obstacles, but victory is pride with a boat load.
Of treasure for bastards that seek there rewards bounty in all.

Restricted prowls all the laws abiding.
Shot the bomb sink the sunken..
Pirates come with, for these are zones to parade..
Sailors, lads you ain’t seen nothing till you’ve been..
with the big boss wearing his bangles proud.
A stolen crown atop his head..
Counting the gold coins of his nemesis’s…
Were all smitten with lies as a morale conduce..

Bared in wire..beware..
for you’ve been warned..
Ready,!
Set!
SAIL!!
To conquer Sea’s unbounded!!!

Did you like it, I would love some feedback.

Breast feeding and exercise?
I had to transition from work clothes quickly because my mother watches my three month old son and she had a meeting to get to. I squeezed this time in because it was getting dark and I did not want to be out too late. I jogged one mile wearing a comfortable bra that I wore to work. Past two days, I noticed a firmness in one breast and I have manually massaged it but it’s still the same. I notice a lesser flow when I expressed milk from it also. Has this happened to anyone before and will it go away on its own?
