Why are these films so succesive or failures?
Successful film’s:
Independent Day (1996)
Titanic (1997)
Star Wars (Episode 1)
Harry Potter and the philosophers stone (1999)
Spider man (2002)
Pirates of the Caribbean (2003)
———————–
Failure film’s:
Batman and Robin (1997)
Cut Throat Island (1995)
The Adventure of Pluto Nash (2002)
Town and Country (2001)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004)
Alexander (2005)
Howard the Duke
Your question makes no sense.
For a start it’s ‘Independence Day’, and ‘Howard The Duck’.
As for why a film is a success or a failure, it’s all to do with marketing, and if the film is shite people won’t go to watch it.

Well I can say that the reason why Spiderman was such a great succes was that it was stylish, well thought out, and that Peter Parker had many many flaws. Which makes for a Very Very good movie. Plus he wasn’t suave, he wasn’t really really incredible, he was a outcast…like the other 85% of the world is.

Because many of the successful films were based on a true story or on a book or even on a ride & because their is already scope on it, people want to see if it lives up to what it is based on!

You can’t compare them like that because they are completely different kind of movies. If you ask i.e. "why is spiderman successive but spiderman II a failure?" then somebody could answer that.

Have you seen the movies ? The ones you listed under failure’s really sucked.

Successes: It’s a combination of a good story, great cast, and
insane marketing.
Failures: Really poor stories. Someone should have done
several script rewrites before making any of these
films. Hey Hollywood, give me $500 thousand and
I can write a piece of crap script.

Well I thought Alexander was awful, I walked out of the theater shortly before it ened. I guess its do to the acting, the actors, and the marketing and special effects
